A discipleship course for men seeking freedom from sexual sin.
Being a man of God is a call to walk with integrity in the way of Jesus. But sin has distorted this and many of us are dragged away by sin into places of lust and addiction. Our culture is rampant with sexualized messages, images, and ideas which the enemy happily uses to distract us and enslave us to desire, leading men to places of guilt, shame, and loneliness. Pornography is estimated to be a $15 billion/year industry. Research tells us that this is a struggle for most men, even within the church. But, Jesus offers us healing and freedom from this and invites us into the light. We are calling men to come into the light by facing our sins head-on, together.
Led and facilitated by Paul Duncan and Brad Sherk, Becoming Men of Integrity is a half-day workshop + breakfast, and small group course that offers space to seek Jesus in our walk towards integrity and freedom. The course is highly focused around the fight against pornography addiction and utilizes testimony, prayer, confession, teaching, discussion, bible study, and more to give men opportunities to walk with more integrity in this area. The course begins with a one-day breakfast workshop that is open to all men, and then continues with an optional 5-week small group course (on Thursday evenings) for those desiring to go deeper into this battle with other Christian men. The course ends with a final week of deliverance prayer.
Due to the sensitive and mature nature of this course, it is only open to men age 18 and older.

This course is open to all Christian men age 18 or older. It is geared towards those who have struggled with sexual/pornography addiction.

YES. While we believe it is ideal to attend the whole course, we see that committing to 7 weeks may be hard for some. Therefore, we are inviting all men (age 18 or older) to “Week 0 – Breakfast and Large Group Workshop” on March 22nd, even if you cannot attend the remaining small group course.

Yes! We would love to have all men there to learn about this and support each other on this journey. It is likely that someone you know and love is struggling with this. Your presence means another ally in this battle.

When participants register, they can indicate if they would like a specific person in their small group with them. We will do our best to accommodate this. Then, at the breakfast & large group workshop we will have the group arrange themselves into small groups of 3-5 people that will meet together for the remainder of the course.

The small groups will meet at WMB Church in Waterloo for the entirety of the course. We will begin in the chapel each week with a short large-group teaching, then break off into our small groups around the church. There will be content created for the groups to go through together on their own.

Deliverance prayer is a time of prayer, led by trained leaders, where we seek to rid participants of demonic presence in their life. Some problems are physical problems and they need a physical solution. Other problems are spiritual problems that no amount of counseling or medication will solve. Some problems must be addressed spiritually through deliverance. Often misunderstood and even feared, deliverance ministry is highly needed in our world today and we believe it to be a powerful tool in a man’s journey to freedom from sexual sin. We are holding our deliverance prayer night on the last night of the course on May 1st.
