PROPOSED UPDATE TO ARTICLES OF AMENDMENT

A motion is being presented at this year's AGM to update WMB's Articles of Amendment. These Articles state that the number of Council members needs to fall in a range of 8 to 15. The current council is comprised of 9 members. Of these, four are completing their terms, leaving five continuing members. The Discernment Committee has identified 1 additional person to join Council.

It is important to understand that Church Council members do not work alone, but are joined by a larger Administration Committee that carries much of the Council's projects and operational tasks, join in on seeking God's direction in decision-making, and provide fellowship. This allows the Council to focus their efforts. You can read more about this in the report from the Church Council chair in the Annual Report.

Church members will be asked to approve a change to the range of Council Members from 8-15 to 6-15.
